i'm the president of pegasus!

today we had a meeting of the graduate student group in the philosophy department, called pegasus (how lame...), and i became the president! which means that now i'm in charge of organizing the usc/ucla graduate student conference in the next semester, i'm curious how that's going to work out. people present at the meeting immediately suggested that my title shouldn't be "president" but "die fuehrerin", but somehow we didn't get a majority on that. since i've never been president of anything before, i thought this might be worth posting...and of course in order to inform people that they can now feel free to call me "mrs. president".

If yout title would have been "Die Führerein", you would have to wear an Uniform while on campus, which, given the temperature in L.A., might not exactely be the best of ideas...

Anyone with exceptional bad taste is free to visit the (english!) wikipedia page for the 70s movie "Ilsa, She-Wolf of the SS" to get an impression how female Nazi Uniforms did _not_ look like.

By the way, Julia, one of the Trailers between the two films of the Tarantino/Rodriguez Grindhouse double feature i'll never see in germany is directely based on aforementioned movie... Rob Zombie's "Werewolf Women of the SS" featuring Nicolas Cage and Hollywoods standard Nazi Udo Kier.

dear president julia,
maybe you'd find a majority for "die kaiserin".
i'd appreciate that title as well!
and maybe you can invite keith johnson for a paranormal seminar about ghost hunting. this would be worth crossing the ocean: meeting "die kaiserin" for team discussion about demonology - searching for evidence on malibu beach at night.. ouuuuhuuuu
looking forward to big adventures
melissa

I think the formal protocol is "Madam President." not "Mrs."
